Ah, February in Denver. The weather can be, shall we say, unpredictable, but the days are getting longer and love is in the air. It’s tempting to stay inside and hibernate, but with all the fun events happening in and around Denver, why would you cheat yourself that way? Last month, Tree Ring Digital started a new tradition of informing our readers about the month’s top local events. So without further ado, here are our top 10 picks for February.

After all that walking, you’re bound to be famished. Check out the 16th annual Denver Restaurant Week, when hundreds of Denver’s top restaurants will offer multi-course dinners for three tasty prices: $25, $35, or $45.
- Heart & Sol of CHAC Fundraiser (Feb 8)
This fundraiser for CHAC (Chicano Humanities & Arts Council) supports organizational programming through the creation & auction of art. Each Heart donated has been lovingly created with their “heart and sol.” Proceeds will be distributed to programming, administration, and development of our mission to promote and preserve Chicana/o art and culture in the community. Original Art will be offered for sale by Silent Auction. Tickets ($15 per individual or $20 per couple) include a complimentary drink, appetizers, and entertainment.
- Denver Attraction Discount Passes (ongoing)
Denver has so many fascinating cultural destinations – how to choose which to visit? With these passes, you can see several for one low price! The Colorado Environmental Film Festival (CEFF) is an exciting, inspiring, and energizing event that includes world-class environmental films with representatives from local and national organizations. CEFF screens feature length and short films by foreign, local and young filmmakers. True to the spirit of Colorado, this event is supported and attended by people who value the natural world and share a passion for the power and beauty of film. CEFF takes place at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden.
- Wells Fargo Ski Cup 2020 Winter Park Colorado (Feb 21 – 23)
Head to Winter Park for this annual extravaganza for a great cause. 2020 commemorates the 45th consecutive year for the Wells Fargo Ski Cup! The Wells Fargo Ski Cup boasts the longest running professional ski race in the country and serves as a signature fundraiser for the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD).

Escape the winter chill in the Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory with this tour of purported aphrodisiacs and learn about the secret romantic lives of tropical plants. Celebrate Black History Month with The Center on Colfax! This event will pay tribute to black queer and trans culture and will include thought-provoking black identified speakers, an open mic opportunity for community members to share their experiences, and more.
- WinterFest (Feb 29)
Get thyself to Olde Town Arvada for the second annual WinterFest! The festival offers culture, entertainment, and art that allows attendees to learn, sample, and experience many diverse cultures. Fun for all ages!
